Enhanced Online Security

Effective December 27, 2006 you will need to enroll in our enhanced online security system in order to access your accounts through Wrentham Online.
Wrentham Co-operative Bank is proud to announce that we have added an additional layer of security to our internet banking system. This enhanced security will help to ensure that your confidential information remains secure, protecting you from fraud and identity theft.
Enhanced Online Security verifies your identity in two ways. At each log-in to internet banking, the bank identifies you and lets you identify the bank using a private image and pass phrase that you select.
Here’s how it works:
- Each user will be randomly assigned a picture at enrollment. You will also have the opportunity to change your picture at a later time.
- Each user must enter a pass phrase. The pass phrase can be anything – it doesn’t need to relate to the picture, but must be something that you can easily remember. It’s not the same as your password, and you won’t have to re-enter the information to log into internet banking.
- The picture and pass phrase will appear automatically every time you log into internet banking. The appearance of the picture and pass phrase lets you identify the Wrentham Co-operative Bank web site so you can be sure you are at the correct site.
- During your enrollment, you will be asked to answer three security questions. You may select the questions you wish to answer from a drop-down menu. These questions will be used to identify you if you log in to internet banking from a computer that we do not recognize.
- If you try to log in to internet banking and your picture and pass phrase do not match, you should close your browser and try again. If the picture and pass phrase still do not match, contact the bank at 508-384-6101.
Enrollment is easy – there is no software to install. Just follow the instructions on the screen. We also have an online Education Center which will walk you through the process and answer questions about how the new system works.
